Relax

Now we all have our own ways of relaxing, some of us like to go to the beach, some like to read a book, others like to simply listen to music. I personally think it's one of the most important things to do in your life, because without relaxing you're always on the go never stopping which will never end up well.

Instead of being the person that is always stressing over the little things and basically freaking out over nothing, I like to just be chill and try to have no worries. Although having most of the people around me bugging out doesn't really help. The easiest way I think someone can relax is simply to put on some headphones and then just lay down and relax. I mean who doesn't like to look retarded rocking out to their own music, it always calls for a fucking nice time. So for all of you people that are constantly stressed out, and freaking out about nothing, please do us all a favor and just chill the fuck out.

Summer

With this new warmer weather it reminded me of how much the cold sucks, which made me even more excited for this upcoming summer. But what is it about summer that we all love? Maybe it's the awesome ass weather, maybe some people are excited to go down to the beach. For me it has to be no school and all bull shit included with school. It's purely just me relaxing for months, free to get fucked up as much as possible.

Everyone knows that everything good about life happens in the summer, no worries about everything, the best concerts happening, and you can just do literally anything you desire. That's why I think summer is the best season, I have no worries in the world and all day everyday I can be just as unproductive as the day before. That to me sounds like a good ass time.

As the weather gets warmer, I hope you all enjoy yourselves more. These songs all remind me of the good times to be had during the summer.

Life

When I walk the halls of my school, I see countless people stressing out about their work, relationships, or the test they have in 2 weeks. I think that it's bull shit that people are too worried to live the best times of their life to worry about work, which they'll be doing for the rest of their lives. I just wish that those kind of people would take a step back and just relax and enjoy life. The only reason these people go through stress is because they put it onto themselves, instead of going out on friday nights they would rather stay home doing their work. To me this makes no sense. This post was short but I'm here to say you should live life and just enjoy it.

Time

Now while I'm happy I live in this modern day and age, a part of me has always wanted to live during the 60's and 70's. I at least hope it's clear to you why I would want to, The music (Hendrix and The Beatles), the clothing, everyone was free and did what they wanted to, and doing drugs was actually what everyone did and no one frowned upon this. It was fucking awesome. I was recently at a production of Hair which took place in the 60's and I was sitting in front of this group of old people, some of which were actual grandparents. During the intermission I heard these old people talk about all the crazy shit they did when they were young, at one point this guy said that Booze+ LSD+ Weed= Everyone naked and a great time. Then this 60ish year old woman was talking about how she used to drop LSD all the time, I thought this was crazy because if we did this today someone everywhere has to look down on it when all these people wanted to do was live life and have a good time doing it. Everyone was generally happy, and they would spread love through protests, music and just by being happy people. I wish today more people would be just as equally motivated to be like this, we'd all be a little more happy.

I'm not saying that the only reason I would want to live during this time is so I could drop some acid and just trip hard, but that certainly doesn't hurt. The main reason why I want to live in the greatest time ever is for the music, all of The Beatles were alive and they were actually playing shows. Hendrix was alive and I would have loved to have seen him set his guitar on fire at the Monterey Pop Festival in '68, or even better yet to see the magic he produced at Woodstock in '69 with his star spangled banner.

Today as far as music goes, of course I have to go way back in time and bring out the best this time has to offer. All of these songs are all too good for me to be able to recommend one over the other, just enjoy them all!

The remix can be either a great thing where it's actually better than the original, or the remix can suck some major balls, and with all of these DJ whatevers it's all over the spectrum as far as quality. I can't tell you the amount of times I have been on Hypem and all I'm looking for is an original, but all I see is remixes. So one night I decided I'd actually listen to a remix, and surprisingly I liked it, it was the Grizzly bear remix of boneless by The Notwist.

So I started to give this remix thing a chance. But I lost hope when I heard a remix of an acoustic song and I could have sworn I was in a rave club, I thought it was bull shit. People that do these remixes need to realize that we already have enough songs with beats that sound like they repeat forever, we don't need shittier versions of these songs.

So unfortunately there are a lot of bad remixes but I'm here to at least try and help. A few great people at remixes are, Grizzly Bear, Emil and Friends, Bearbot, Daft punk is amazing as we know, and never be afraid to check out mash ups they can sometimes be sick. If you see anything by any of these people immediately check it out, don't even second guess it.

As you can probably tell by now, I like music a lot. I'm big on the classics like Hendrix and The Beatles, only recently did I start getting into more modern music like Kid Cudi, Miike Snow, and The Antlers. You might ask why the fuck it took me so long to come around, well there's an answer. I can't stand the people and the music that come out of the radio, are you kidding me Kesha, you really wake up feeling like P. Diddy and you brush your teeth with a bottle of jack? That's some poor hygiene. Most of all people that are put on the radio have a song that's catchy, the lyrics are catchy and the person has something unique about them perhaps their look. But we're forgetting something, catchy doesn't mean good, the lyrics are bull shit that have no meaning behind them whatsoever.

The only reason why these people think they want to make music is for the fame, glory, money, and girls. They don't care about what their music is about or sounds like, as long as people listen to it. Now while I'm still apart of Americas youth I feel like I'm a shame to my generation not liking every lil wayne song, which by the way despite him being in jail that hasn't effected him making "songs". A list of people that should be punched in the face for the shit they create.... Lil Wayne, Kesha, Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, and unfortunately the list goes on.

I just wished that the songs we put on the radio weren't recycled songs with auto tune or the same progression. Basically the same sounding songs. Instead we need to embrace the hidden talents out there.

This beautiful drug makes the bad times good and the good times amazing, unfortunately the government feels as if this is too good for us. I'm pretty sure I could say that whatever I do when I'm high is always 50 times more fun than when I'm sober just because of the experience you're guaranteed with it. Many times has the thought crept into my head that life in places like South California, or Amsterdam life would be far better just because I could 1. Get the best weed and 2. Lyrics are one of the most powerful things in music a few examples are

While lyrics don't always make sense to us, sometimes it helps if we look past the words and try to discover the meaning of them. Some of the best one liners don't even make sense, yet we still love them. I wish that the artists of today would look to poetry so their lyrics can flow with meaning and finally have some actual substance to them.
